We are a small family run business based in the heart of the Dorset countryside. Andrew is a highly skilled, experienced carpenter with a passion for working with oak primarily, although he does work with other wood. We pride ourselves on our eco-credentials – we only use sustainably sourced or reclaimed wood and work with a local sawmill.
For every sale we make we pledge to plant a tree with Just One Tree a non-profit organisation. We care deeply about our planet, and it’s important to us that we give back and care for the land we live on.
All of our items are made to order and can take up to 8 weeks to create.
Outdoor Spaces
It’s important to us that everything we create for your outdoor space has a sense of belonging and works with the environment around it. Wood weathers and ages beautifully to become a part of the landscape.
Indoor Spaces
Wood is eco-friendly, natural, timeless and beautiful. It’s incredibly hardwearing and adds warmth to indoor spaces. We find oak works well in both contemporary settings and rustic, shabby chic homes.
Equestrian & Livestock
Every item we create is handcrafted and finished in our workshop by Andrew. We love the way oak compliments stables and tack rooms, and it gets even better as it ages and blends in beautifully.
Special Commissions
We will work closely with you to create a unique, bespoke item designed to meet to your specifications and requirements. Custom items are all handmade by Andrew in his workshop.
“Our carport was badly damaged in the storms last winter. I rang around all the firms in the area and only three turned up to actually see the job. None of them took any measurements or made a proper examination of the site, and all of them quoted much the same improbable figure, presumably off the cuff. Then I contacted Andrew, whose restoration work I happened to have seen recently quite by chance. Andrew came and made a careful and thoughtful examination of the situation. I could see that the renovation had several tricky problems to be negotiated and Andrew discussed each one with me. His estimate wasn’t the cheapest but was carefully prepared and his timescale for the job suited us, so we decided to go ahead and have no regrets. Our completely renovated carport looks terrific, is completely waterproof and delivers the rain it collects into the water butts beneath. His solution to dealing with the rusty support posts by cladding them in downpipes was inspired and greatly enhanced the appearance of the structure. I have no hesitation in recommending Andrew to anyone in need of his carpentry and general building restoration skills.”
